June Favourites!

A few of my Summer Essentials for 2018...

So here we are, the start of July! How fast has this year flown by amirite? I honestly cannot believe that half of the year has just vanished – poof! – like that! It seems like only yesterday that I was stood with my family singing Auld Lang Syne watching the fireworks on New Years! I hope you’re all having a great year so far and if not you still have 6 months left to turn it all around!

Anyway, enough of me blabbing about how fast the time is going… Today I have for you a beauty favourites post for the month of June!

Essie Nail Polishes

If you’ve read some of my previous blog posts you may know that Essie polishes have recently become my favourite ever to use and I’m constantly trying to build up my collection! It may come as a shock to you that I have been without a base coat and top coat for my nails for a good few years now and so the Essie ones have been my saviours this month! I don’t think I’ll go without them again – they’ve made my polish last so much longer without chipping and I’m over the moon about it! Also, my friend Sarah picked me out the cute duo you see on the left for my birthday (thanks so much, S!) and the shades are called ‘Merino Cool’ and ‘Bahama Mama’. They’re both gorgeous shades and I’m completely obsessed!

Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights

My last post was dedicated to these beauties from Pixi! I’ve fallen in love with these liquid glittery eye shadows this month and haven’t been able to stop myself from using them on the daily – whatever the occasion! They’re so quick and easy to pop on in the morning and make it look like you’ve made way more of an effort with your makeup than you really have! I have the shades Rose Gold and Bare Brillance and I’d honestly recommend them both! They’re stunning!

Morphe 8W Warm Master Blush Palette

Who isn’t a sucker for warm tones nowadays?! I’m obsessed with orange and copper tones with my makeup – it helps me to look a bit more bronzed and a bit less like a corpse ya get me? These are the colours I’ve used for my eye makeup for a longlong time now and so I thought why not stick it on my cheeks too? This palette has honestly changed the way I think about blush! I’ve always been more of a bronzer woman and neglected blush in my makeup routine for a while – but now I use blush on a pretty much every day basis because of this gem! It has a mix of  ‘creamy matte, shimmer and satin blush formulas’ in lovely warm orangey and pink tones! Don’t be scared by these shades they actually look really pretty and natural as long as you work with a light hand!

Cetaphil Daily Defense Moisturiser

I mentioned in my May faves that my skin was starting to feel a bit dry and sensitive and I became obsessed with the Cetaphil Rich Night cream. A little while after that I purchased the day one as well and I think using the two have made a big difference to my skin! This daytime one has SPF 50 and a UVA rating so it’s going to protect your skin from the sun and also after it’s sank into your skin makes a lovely base for your makeup! It’s so gentle on my sensitive skin and I think I’ve found my perfect moisturiser for life!

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

I don’t know anybody who doesn’t love this product?! I’m sure you’ve heard everyone and their dogs talk about this, and actually I mentioned this in my last favourites post as well so I won’t babble too much! But this setting spray has basically saved my makeup from melting off my face in this crazy hot weather we’re currently experiencing in the UK! Big big fan, would 100% recommend!

And so those are my favourites from the month of June! I hope you’ve enjoyed reading and let me know in the comments what products you’ve obsessed over this past month!

Until next time!

    1. I think it will be in mine too!! I’ve struggled to find moisturisers etc that don’t give me a burning sensation but these are so gentle I love them! 😁💓

  1. I’ve had my eye on the all nighter setting spray, as I’ve heard nothing but great things but I’ve never got round to buying it! Also those nail polishes look fab I’ve only just got back into doing my nails, I used to work in waitressing so wasn’t allowed nail polish on – but these colours are so pretty! xx
